SYLVESTER SAMANYANGA is a 3rd Generation SHONA artist. His pieces sell world wide and it's easy to see why. His attention to detail and the expressive nature of each piece is breath taking.
 
'When sculpting I use hand tools; hammer, punch, diamond rasp, chasing hammer and chisel. My favorite stone to curve is Springstone, Opal, Cobalt and all Serpentine. I have sold my works to the UK, China, Canada and most European countries. My ambition is to be known worldwide like other big artists and travel around the world demonstrating art. I am married and have 2 children, a girl and a boy. During working my wife helps me with ideas, sanding, rasping and polishing'.
